Our Annual Trip to Oregon

Oregon

Carrie and the kids actually went to Oregon in the beginning of July. It wasn't until the last week of July that Jim flew up and met them. Anyways, the following pics are from that last week while Jim was there.

The Journey Home

Our journey home was a train-filled one. We stopped at Yreka, CA to check out a train place for Carson. Unfortunately, they were closed for repairs. We then tried to get a caboose for the evening in Dunsmuir (like last year), but they were completely booked. So, we ended up in Redding, CA. The next day we deja vu'ed last year and went to Sacramento, CA to check out the train museum as well as take a train ride. The following day we made it home. Looks like a trend is occuring. It appears that as long as Carson likes trains, we'll be doing this every year on our way back from Oregon. Next year, we'll be better prepared and book the Dunsmuir caboose long in advance.
